Art for the Upcoming Animated Project: Sewer Fight
Project Overview: This is pre-production work for an upcoming animated short film of mine with the working title “Sewer Fight.” I am working on background, character, and story elements before breaking into production on the project.
Background Art
The background art is meant to give a setting for the characters. The goal is to create mood, while also effectively setting the stage for the story to be told. In my backgrounds, I worked to create an unsettling, claustrophobic atmosphere where my characters could interact.
Characters
Here I worked on designing two of my main characters. I worked hard on making them represent the post-apocalyptic world they live in through the costume design.
Turnarounds
Here I worked on the turnarounds for the characters which I could reference later.
Script
For the story aspect, I started with an informal script detailing the action.
Shot List
From there I worked on a shot list which broke the story down into individual shots.
Thumbnails
I then went to photoshop and thumbnailed every shot from my shot list.
Storyboards
After that I referenced my thumbnails and began my storyboards.
